Makeup Artistry by Deedee (Cemetery Shoot Part 2)

These pictures are also from the makeup and hair I did at the cemetery shoot. To see my first post with the model Breann click here.

This gives another view point of a Gothic cemetery shoot. This reminds me of a flapper from the 20's with a haunted twist.

What's in My Closet (Clowning around)

I needed something to wear for a costume party. I found this tutu and shirt in Target. I already had the striped stockings and boots. I also figured I can definitely wear the shirt again. The makeup was really fun to do as well. Unfortunately it was not as fun taking the makeup off. It did make for a fun party look and pictures.

Makeup Artistry by Deedee (Cemetery Shoot)

I decided it would be fun if I blogged about some of the photo shoots I work on. I wish I had thought of it six years ago, it would be fun for me to read now. Since it is almost Halloween, I thought this would be appropriate to blog about.

This Photo Shoot was at a really old cemetery in Riverside, California. Some of the tombstones dated back to 1800's! Call me weird but I enjoy visiting cemeteries. They are so peaceful and I like to read the names and dates on the graves. Some of the older tombstones where so grand I think they are art.

I received many photos but these are the ones that for me captured the moment and the feeling of spirits from long ago.

Exciting news we were published in the Surreal Beauty Magazine "Within Me" Issue #138 (not these photos)

What's in My Closet (Fire & Dice)

I picked this outfit up at my favorite consignment shop. I made myself a deal that I would only buy a complete outfit. Sometimes I buy the coolest clothes and when I get home nothing really pulls together. So I bought the top, skirt and purse all at the same time knowing they all go together perfectly. Next time I go to Vegas I am packing this outfit!

Top: Unknown but my favorite new black top
Skirt: Simply Glamorous
Shoes: Top Shop

What's in My Closet (California Layering)

We are about to get a dash of Fall weather it will be in the 70's and 80's. I know in some parts of the world you would love to enjoy longer summers so I try not to be ungrateful.  This outfit is something I would wear for an evening out to the movies or a casual dinner. This area is very casual. It is even too casual for me. What is it like in your area casual or dressed with a purpose?

What's in My Closet (Fall Florals)

I have to admit I am not a floral kind of girl. Don't get me wrong I love flowers, but it isn't a pattern I look for on clothes or furniture. With that said I do have a skirt with embroidered flowers that I bought on a trip to NYC about 9 years ago. I styled it two ways. Just with a black tee and then I added a military inspired vest. Which way do you like better?

Vest: Angel Kiss

What's in My Closet (Cute Little Blazer)

I picked up this little gem at my favorite consignment shop for $5! To stay true to my fashion comfort level, I styled this with my favorite Jeans and Tee. To Jazz it up I added these socks I got in a Birch Box about two years ago. I really love these shoes and like to mix colorful or crazy socks with them. What do you think?
